It is a little rural town located at the mountain from where it is dominated the river Miño shore, surrounded by vineyards.
With a simple architecture it is made up by a group of buildings located around some main streets of medieval origin that lead to the church. The buildings are two floor buildings, the lower floor is dedicated to a cellar in the majority of the houses and by barns and the second floor would be the family floor. The town stands out for its location at the feet of Santa Maria church and being conditioned by the proximity to the water reservoir and the electric central.
The town has been restored in the last years with a new pavement and the restoration of ethnographical elements such as Peto das Ánimas (a representation of the Souls of the Purgatory where you can leave money for the church) and the stone cross that stands in the middle of the crossroad that works as a main reunion point.
